Welcome to 9th/16th Cape Town Scouts
Cape Town Scouts on Muizenberg Beach
Cape Town Scouts camped at the Sandvlei Sea Scout Base as a Troop. We had lots of fun and adventure: air rifle and airgun target shooting, canoeing, rowing (or pulling as the Sea Scouts call it), cooking, and a visit to the beach. Thanks so much to Daniel Skriker for arranging the water activities, and thanks to 1st Bergvliet Sea Scouts and 1st Muizenberg Sea Scouts for lending us boats and equipment. These two troops demonstrated the 4th Scout Law by making water activities possible for land scouts. It's really great to see troops lowering their 'troop fence' and helping fellow scouts from other troops. "A Scout is a friend to all, and a brother to every other Scout"

Are you a youth looking for an awesome journey? Are you a parent who would like their child to experience the outdoors and learn while doing in a safe and wholesome environment? Are you an adult who want to indulge in their love for the outdoors and be of service to others? Then we are the youth organisation for you!
SCOUTS South Africa is the biggest youth organisation in the country with over 308 000 children, youths and adults nationwide. We are open for all children (7-10), teens (11-17), youths (18-30) and adults who want to embrace their adventurous spirit, enjoy challenging activities and make a positive impact ion their communities.
Scouting changes lives and helps children and young adults to reach their full potential. Leadership abilities, teamwork, self-motivation, commitment, perseverance, environmental and cultural awareness and strong values are just a few of the life skills our members acquire whilst having fun and ‘learning by doing’. Positive peer pressure and outdoor activities all contribute to individuals growing up with the belief that they can and are changing the world in order to leave it a better place than how they found it.

Over the past year I have been privileged to represent the Scouting Movement as the Chief Scout. It has been a true honour to meet so many wonderful Cubs, Scouts, Rovers and Adult Volunteers. It is clear that SCOUTS South Africa is an Extraordinary Movement.
